Our review of AFCEA 2024 – the highlights

The AFCEA trade expo in Bonn once again ended successfully for dainox this year. We would therefore like to thank all visitors to our stand for their keen interest in our products and services and for the numerous personal discussions! We were overwhelmed by the great response and the curiosity about our technical innovations in the FMN COMMS context. The many positive responses motivate us to continue working on needs-orientated solutions for the acute demands and requirements of tomorrow.

In particular, the MobKommSysBw core network designed and developed by dainox was the focus of the exchange. It is the Bundeswehr's IP-based core network, which has been established for many years and is being continuously developed by us in line with the latest requirements: the very first COMMS solution already in use with CIAV accreditation in accordance with FMN Spiral 3 and 4.

The feedback from our visitors confirms that the dainBox® product family offers a customised, innovative and scalable solution for all branches of the armed forces. Particularly the versatile universal platform dainBox® SA (standalone) for "tough" environments and the standardised Rack Mount (RM) solution could be tested directly at our stand. Our experts demonstrated the wide range of possible applications (multi-service concept) thanks to the modular and robust design. For the first time, an INSTER LEO satellite terminal from MBS was also present, as the ideal combination for fast, mobile and, above all, self-sufficient applications.

On the first day of the trade fair, our expert Jochen Brückner also gave an industry presentation on the future of Software Defined Mission Networks (SDMN®), which are becoming increasingly important in the German Armed Forces. The aim was to create a comprehensive understanding of how SDD and robust hardware should work together to create an efficient, flexible and future-proof IT landscape for mission networks.

Another special highlight at our stand: some visitors were able to enter and explore our modern and functional SDMN® IT container live via our VR glasses.

We are already looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors to our stand at AFCEA 2025!
